SpendFlex is a personal finance app designed to help you manually track expenses, budgets, categories and spending habits.
This Privacy Policy explains what information SpendFlex may collect, how it is used, and what choices you have.
1. Information stored locally on your device
SpendFlex may store information locally on your device, such as:
- Expenses you manually enter
- Expense descriptions, amounts, categories and dates
- Budget settings
- Custom categories and category budgets
- Recurring expense templates
- Language and theme preferences
- Other local app preferences
This information is used to provide the app's core functionality and personalize your experience.
SpendFlex does not require an account and does not connect to your bank. Your manually entered expense records are stored locally on your device unless you choose to export them.
2. Analytics
SpendFlex may use PostHog to understand how people use the app and to improve the experience.
Analytics data may include information such as:
- App screens viewed
- Buttons or features used
- General usage events
- Device and app information
- Approximate technical information such as operating system version, app version and device type
We do not use PostHog to intentionally collect sensitive financial details such as your expense descriptions, exact spending history or bank information.
3. Advertising
SpendFlex may use Google AdMob to display ads.
AdMob may collect information such as:
- Device identifiers
- Advertising identifiers, depending on your device settings and consent
- IP address
- Ad interactions
- App usage information related to ads
- Crash logs
- Performance and diagnostic data
This data may be used to provide, measure and improve advertising. Depending on your consent and device settings, ads may be personalized or non-personalized.

4. Crash reporting and diagnostics
SpendFlex may use Sentry to help identify crashes, performance issues and technical errors.
Diagnostic data may include device information, app version, operating system version, error details and technical logs related to crashes.
5. Purchases
SpendFlex may offer premium features through in-app purchases.
Purchases and subscriptions may be processed by Apple, Google and RevenueCat. SpendFlex does not collect or store your payment card details.
6. No account required
SpendFlex does not require you to create an account and does not ask you to connect your bank account.
7. Children's privacy
SpendFlex is intended for general audiences.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
8. Data sharing
SpendFlex may share limited data with third-party service providers used to operate, analyze and monetize the app, including:
- Google AdMob, for advertising
- PostHog, for analytics
- Sentry, for crash reporting and diagnostics
- RevenueCat, Apple and Google, for purchases and app distribution
We do not sell personal information.
9. Data retention
Local data remains on your device unless you delete it, reset app data or uninstall the app.
Analytics, advertising, diagnostic and purchase data may be retained by PostHog, Google AdMob, Sentry, RevenueCat, Apple or Google according to their own retention policies.
10. Your choices
You can:
- Delete expenses and categories inside the app, if available
- Change app settings inside the app
- Disable personalized tracking through iOS or Android privacy settings
- Reset or limit advertising identifiers through your device settings
- Uninstall the app to remove locally stored app data from your device
